Chemicals, paints and coatings

Overview

This group covers industrial and decorative coatings and the chemicals used in manufacturing. Solvent- and water-based paints and varnishes, thinners, synthetic organic dyestuffs, surfactants and detergents, textile finishing agents and auxiliary chemicals, nitrogenous fertilizers and sodium hydroxide are supplied on request. Main buyers are paint dealers and distributors, metal and furniture manufacturers, textile finishing plants, cleaning product manufacturers, agricultural input suppliers and chemical importers.

An up-to-date MSDS/SDS is requested for every product, and the UN number, ADR/IMDG hazard class, packing group and flash point are assessed according to the mode of transport. Values on the certificate of analysis such as purity, solids content and viscosity are compared with the specification, and samples are analyzed when necessary. Before loading, packaging tightness, hazard labels and batch numbers are checked. The goods are shipped from the country of manufacture to the buyer's country with the appropriate dangerous goods declaration, without entering Türkiye, while documents and payments are managed from Istanbul.

What we check before loading

• MSDS/SDS and classification

  We check the current SDS, UN number, ADR/IMDG hazard class and packing group, and assess suitability for the mode of transport.

• Certificate of analysis

  We compare purity, active matter, solids content, viscosity and color values against the specification using the batch-specific COA.

• Packaging and labeling

  Before loading, we check the use of UN-approved drums, IBCs or bags, leak-tightness, hazard pictograms and batch labels.

• Regulatory documents

  We clarify in advance whether REACH registration, product label information or other chemical documents required by the buyer's country can be obtained from the manufacturer.

Typical HS code headings

Codes are for guidance only. Final classification is made for each shipment based on the product's technical specifications and the tariff schedule of the country concerned.
